Knowing and serving God should not be difficult. Knowing Him should not be a drag. If you find yourself having to work hard to be a Christian person, perhaps you are missing something. Jesus said His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Exodus this week reminds us of the great pains God went to so that we could have a sabbath – one day out of seven for rest! The Psalms sing of His rest and ask for His rest. Even in Acts we see where the church had times of work and trial, and times of rest. John reminds us in his letter that we can trust Christ and so rest in Christ. Try just resting in Him and letting Him lead and take care of business. You just follow and rest.
